AWI prepares comprehensive papers on topics related to the welfare of animals used in agriculture.
AWI regularly provides public comments, testimony, and similar input to policymakers in furtherance of our mission to reduce animal suffering.
AWI submits formal petitions for rulemaking and complaints to federal agencies asking them to use their regulatory power to secure better treatment of farmed animals, and to ensure truthful marketing of animal products.
When necessary, AWI requests enforcement against or prosecution of parties that violate existing laws or policies. These requests are made at the federal, state, and local level.
