Support a Horse Slaughter Ban in the Farm Bill
Each year, tens of thousands of horses are exported to Canada and Mexico from the United States to be butchered in slaughterhouses. The entire process of horse slaughter, from transport conditions to rough handling at the slaughterhouse to improper stunning methods, is inherently cruel. The House-passed Farm Bill (a massive legislative package that serves as a key driver of food and agriculture policy in the United States) failed to include a prohibition on this inhumane and grisly practice. Use the form below to contact your US senators and urge them to push for the inclusion of a horse slaughter ban in the Farm Bill.
